SURVEY SAYS……

Thank you for attended our fall 09 CE programs. Thanks also to those of you who filled out the surveys. The results are as follows:

  • 67% attended for the first time.

  • 38% worked at hospitals

  • 13% worked in home care

  • .075% worked in long term care, dentist office, ambulatory surgery or were retired The rest worked in rehabilitation, school nurse, clinic, outpatient, Dr.’s office, or were self employed.
  • The average time you have been working at your current facility was 12 years, with a range of 1-35 years.

  • The average length of time you have been a nurse is 26.6 years, with a range of .5years to >50years.

  • 53% thought staffing was an issue in their workplace

  • 25% felt they need a stronger voice (this can be accomplished through unionizing)

  • 21% thought salary was an issue

  • 17% want better healthcare benefits

  • Other issues included workplace safety, interoffice communication, physician verbal abuse, and lack of emotional support in the workplace.

  • 45% learned about the program through co-workers (so please continue to talk to your co-workers)

  • 26% learned about the program through our newsletter and Ads.
